About Shiloh

A praying church family in Rhode Island

Shiloh Tabernacle International exists so that people can meet Jesus, be formed by Scripture and prayer, and be sent out to love their neighbours well.

Our story

Shiloh Tabernacle International was founded under the vision of Dr. Harriet Wiafe, a vision of a praying, praising, faith-filled family where the presence of God is the center of everything.

Today the Rhode Island congregation gathers weekly in Cranston for worship, midweek Bible study, Friday corporate prayer and the online prayer altar, alongside Shiloh FM 104.3 and the Prophetic Bible School.

TODO (admin): expand this section with the ministry's founding year, milestones and congregations once confirmed by leadership.

Mission

One family, leading people to Christ. We gather people to Christ, ground them in Scripture and prayer, and send them to serve their families, workplaces and communities.

Vision

A church where every generation prays, every member is discipled, and Rhode Island is served with practical love.

Our values

What shapes the way we do church

Prayer first

We pray before we plan. The altar shapes the ministry, not the other way round.

The Word, plainly taught

Scripture is taught clearly and applied honestly to real life in Rhode Island today.

One family

Across nations, generations and backgrounds, we belong to one another.

Care that shows up

Practical love — meals, visits, phone calls, presence in hard seasons.

Discipleship

We help people take the next step, not just attend the next service.

Mission

Local outreach and partnership with ministry work beyond our own walls.

What we believe

Our statement of faith

The Scriptures

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our final authority for faith and conduct.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity, virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection and return of Jesus Christ.

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and is a gift that cannot be earned.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells, empowers and gifts believers for holy living and for ministry.

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship, discipleship, fellowship, service and mission.
